This striking rock art is one of the most curious and intriguing of the many petroglyph images
that I have photographed at the Three Rivers site. Although it predates the Aztec culture there are some remarkable correlations to Aztec drawings of deities, notably the profile showing prominent teeth, the hand in an active position, the headdress with a feather or decoration, and the overall fearsome stance above other strange configurations.
