This strange figure has a demon look about it -- or it may be a representation of a deity, dwelling in the sky, encomposing celestial symbols.
The back of the figure follows the shape of the boulder on which it is pecked. The foot is at the base of the rock.
An oval protrusion in the rock appears to be incorporated into the body of the figure.
This protrusion phenomenon is seen better when you zoom to the closeup image on the next page.
The celestial symbol on the rock at the right is similar to those seen in detail in the compartment on Three Rivers Celestial Symbols which follows later.
