The mystical kneeling Moai
Description
Standing near the kneeling MOAI and looking toward the Pacific Ocean one sees in the distance another fascinating AHU (ceremonial platform) with its MOAI (red arrow).
It is known as Tongariki. It is near number 10 on the map. 15 MOAI stand on its AHU — their story begins on the next page along with a telephoto view made from this same spot.
