In November, 2003, we
visited this spectacular land where the Mojave and Colorado Deserts
meet. Near the small town of 29 Palms, California, this park has towering
formations of weather-sculpted granite as well as deep canyons and
hidden palm oases.
The impressive stands of spiky Joshua trees frame the
desert scenery when their grotesque shapes dominate the foreground.
