The granite rock in the quarry was the source of much of the finished stonework found in the city. Here in the Quarry is a stairway to nowhere, a beautiful sculpure that was never moved to its designated site. (Or perhaps it was to lead to a structure next to it that was never built.)
On our way to the Pyramid from the Quarry and the Sacred Plaza we pass by the garden.
