The small crews of workmen labor at restoration and maintenance. Here a plumb of ancient origin (a stick, a string and a small rock) guides vertical alignment for the man who is repairing a terrace.

This terrace displays a "flying stairway," protruding stones that serve as stairs up the side of the terrace. Flying stairways are found throughout the agricultural sector terraces.
