Our stay at Sanctuary Lodge helped make our week at Machu Picchu a rewarding experience. We wish to thank the management and the staff of the Lodge for the care and attention that we received. Staying at the Sanctuary Lodge made it possible for us to be within the boundries of Machu Picchu before sunrises and to stay until sunsets.
We did not have a guide at Machu Picchu; however, we relied heavily on the excellent book by Wright and Seggarra listed in the bibliography. The basic map outline in this presentation was derived from this book. The drawing was simplified, reoriented and redrawn for clarity on the web.
